Trello

Organize anything, together

I love Trello. Kanban works well for me. It's also so simple anyone can figure out how to use it quickly. Plus very customizable + so it works for more advanced usecases as well.

I love Trello. Especially with all the integrations. It's the most customizable - it's essentially a blank slate when you start so you can do Kanban or create public roadmaps. Being easy to use and easy to understand, it allows my team to work the way they want and create cards/boards the way they want and then integrate them to different tools we use.

Asana

The task management tool, completely redesigned

Asana is absolutely great! Been using it for the past couple of years and it does the job perfectly.
Comments
Though I recommended two other tools as well, Asana is my choice when it comes to task and project management. The free version comes with sharing with up to 15 people, unlimited tasks, sub-tasks, projects, some customization as well. With the premium you get a couple extra features, but I never missed them.

In our agency we are using Asana to manage the tasks and projects for 18 people, 30 clients, plus internal responsibilites like Marketing, Business Development, HR etc. with Asana and even with these complex dependencies and responsibilities, Asana handles the job incredibly well. The app has it's short comings with a lack of native apps and a proper offline mode, but in general, I can highly recommend it.

I can second this. We run our entire business through Basecamp now. The "Work Can Wait" mindset and features have been useful for helping our team slow down, think, and respond.

Airtable

Realtime spreadsheet-database hybrid

This is not explicitly a project management tool, however it's flexibility allows you to build your own - and with ease. Think of it as spreadsheet view of your tasks with database functionalities and a lot of flexibility.

I have used a lot of the tools that are being recommended here, but Airtable is my latest love! It is crazy flexibly and with the templates that the Airtable team gives you to start with extremely easy to get up and running. I manage everything from customer feedback to product sprints in different Airtable bases! 5 stars from me

Bitrix24 is probably the most powerful free project management platform right now. While not as well known as Asana or Trello, it has features like Gantt, task dependencies, quotes, invoicing, etc that they don't, and it's free - https://www.bitrix24.com/feature...

You can give winio a try. It's crazy simple to start working on it. You have projects and inside of it attachments, tasks, and discussions. It doesn't have a ton of features that you won't use anyway. It just does its thing.

Freedcamp

Get started with project management, for free

Ayush Mittalbro @boombro, Founder RefR ✌ · Written
I used Freedcamp for project management. Entirely free, unlimited projects for an unlimited time. They also have a small business plan which includes invoices, CRM and other integrations. Categorisation is super useful and the dashboard home gives you an important overview of each subproject within the main project plus the people working on a particular project. Every subproject can have a task list, milestones, discussions, timesheets, files, calendar, etc.
