- I love Tweetbot (on iOS and Mac) for its powerful muting/filtering and great activity/notifications views. While it's quite pricey and not overly often updated (still, better than the once a year update of the Twitter official macOS app), Tweetbot has been my main Twitter app since 6 or 7 years. It has the benefits of keeping the original Twitter experience, while not complying to the poorest additions (the "While you were away" things and the destructured timeline). Plus Streaming (if you're on Wifi, tweets appear without reloading) and timeline sync between devices are nice additions.
- I've tried a bunch of different apps and keep coming back to Tweetdeck running inside of Chrome. Has been the most reliable/customizable for me. It "just works" and if you're ever on Windows/Linux, can load it up there as well.Love Tweetdeck. Everything I need and more on one page. Have one computer running personal twitter with multiple search tags, and one running business twitter. Haven't ever tried others, but don't have a reason to as of yet.
