Is there an email marketing app to send (templated) campaigns to one-off recipients?

A client wants to target specific leads— sending them emails that are 98% stock— using templates, images and text content + adding the lead's name and maybe tweaking the intro.

(They say) Gmail Email Templates is fully integrated with your Gmail. The template library is available with a single click from within the “Compose” window in Gmail. Choose your design, customize the message, and send! (I say) This totally works! They even have a code editor that gives you a live preview of your template. All it requires is admin access to add the cloudHQ app.

(they say) Start with a blank canvas to build your email from scratch or kickstart your design process with one of our ready-to-go email templates. (I say) Wow! This is really useful. It needs work in the UI department, and getting started is pretty confusing, but once you find the stock templates, you're off and running. The biggest complaint— you don't know WHERE stock templates are located. (screenshot: http://share.sqr.fr/v/6rCGgcRE3R... ) I went from the dashboard to help docks several times before being brave enough to click "Create a New Template". When you read that button after seeing an empty dashboard, don't you imagine a blank canvas? The fear of starting from scratch ALMOST sent me away. Turns-out that clicking the button reveals all the stock templates. (HINT TO THE DEVELOPER: put a big "ad" in the middle of the dashboard that says "Looking to get started? Browse templates here" + include an animated overlay arrow on the "Create a New Template" button.)
