If you're in charge of growth at a startup, what tools would you use for your top 3 priorities?

I'm trying to get a better sense of what the different strategies would be and what tools or resources growthhackers would use to attract their first 1K visitors to the site.

I did rather recommend a live chat tool. Why? Because, once you start your marketing efforts for a Startup, chances are when people get exposed to a new business or a product in the market, they have queries related to it, and you need to resolve their queries asap. In such case, chat option on the website is helpful in answering to the site visitors & convert them into the leads & sales.

Acquiring new customers is a priority for any startup, so you must stay on top of what your customer expects. Remember that once a customer hits the back button on your website, they might be gone forever. So first of all, use a live chat option to get them hooked to your website. Let them know live assistance is only a click away that also helps you position yourself as a genuine business. Offer your best products via live chat to make sure your bank account starts saying “Thank You” end of the day. Spend most of the time accelerating your customer support as in the era of instant gratification, speed does matter. Once you have your external communication sorted, look for tools that can help your internal teams communicate better and eliminate any factors that keep them from providing quality service to your customers. Then, you can try out different integrations to streamline further and see what’s working and what’s not.

I just started using this with my marketing team at work, and so far it seems to be an efficient way to coordinate on projects. Now if I can just remember to log in and actually use the boards...

Brilliant for managing all your project backlogs in a Kanban fashion. Including a list for the DIY tasks around the house.

As a Marketer I use this daily to manage workflow, sort ideas around future content and prioritize my activities. My team collaborate and report using handy integrations with Google and we use it as a Customer service and Sales script repository to store links to docs and how-to videos.

One of those user-friendly, simple live chat apps, especially useful for one-person teams looking for a freemium live chat solution. An auto translation feature might turn out really useful for those running their business in multiple regions.

We get a return from channels that have a captive, targeted audience already - like Quora! Answer a bunch of questions when you're first getting started to make sure you're part of the conversations happening already. Then keep your eye on topics each day. It's always good if you can link to content supporting your responses too. It takes time and you need to contribute meaningful value for it to work, but it's definitely a channel that keeps giving over time.

Analytics and tracking are key to the success of growth marketing. Mixpanel is a great platform to measure funnels and measure the effectiveness of your products.

Employer brand is a crucial part to a company's reputation. Uber is an example of a company damaged by its HR practices and employee conduct. I work with a company that can make sure you get the right team on board! That's so important, especially in the early stages of startups. Recruitee is an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) that helps the whole team get together and hire the RIGHT people.
