Cassette for iOS

The best way for designers to record & share user interviews

Kunal Bhatia- Co-founder & Design Lead @SlidesUp
This one is really easy for me. Cassette is definitely my go-to tool for audio recording as a designer. Researching and doing 1-on-1 interviews is really easy. I hardly scribble things down anymore (more sketches if anything) and I can follow up on all the action items by adding a bookmark during the interview. You can pay for the transcription, and be able … See more

Cassette is amazing. I use it for all background interviews, and sometimes as a backup recording to my prototype testing sessions. Love the simple bookmarking and the transcription.

Cassette

The best way for designers to record & share user interviews

Kunal Bhatia- Co-founder & Design Lead @SlidesUp
I love Cassette. I never need to furiously take notes since I started using it. The bookmarks feature is a way to quickly come back to interesting bits of the conversation or go back to action items. Transcription is great too, and Angad (the founder) is soon going to add a cloud feature that will allow you to sync your notes/audio on any device.

Cassette is a great audio recorder that also transcribes!

Cassette is amazing. Not sure what you're looking to do with the recordings, but Cassette allows you to bookmark spots easily and transcribe the sessions too!

You have a ton of voice recording apps for iPhone, but a lot of them don't work super well. Cassette manages to offer up a good organization scheme, solid recording features, and a handy, yet pricey transcription feature if you need it.

We talk to many mobile teams who are up in arms over app delivery challenges: how to identify bugs/issues, how to communicate with users in-app, how to handle real-time support. These are both data collection and workflow problems - and to most, they're entirely perplexing. And urgent.
TechCrunch
I came across Instabug when I was in Cairo in 2013. Little did I know that this plucky startup, born in the Arab Spring, would eventually make it through Y Combinator's Winter 2016 class. Now they have gone on to raise $1.7M in a Seed round led by Accel Partners to expand beyond their original aim of mobile app bug reporting.

Launching out of Y Combinator's Winter 2016 class today is a company I interviewed way back in 2013 in Startup Alley. Incredibly, Instabug startup started building the app during the turmoil in Egypt back in 2012 and made it out of the chaos of the Egyptian revolution to make it to, and through, YC.
