Today we launched Sip , an app that delivers daily tappable tech news and stories to your or device. We polled the Product Hunt community and asked a simple question: "Why do you use Product Hunt?" Many visit the site to get inspiration for their own projects.
TechCrunch
"We didn't want to create another app thirsty for attention" writes Product Hunt CEO Ryan Hoover. So instead of a constant stream of fresh stories and alerts, Product Hunt today is releasing what's essentially a tech industry newsletter in iOS and Android form.
The Next Web
Product Hunt just launched a new tech news aggregator app, called Sip. Think of it as an unholy hybrid of Twitter Moments, and Reddit's autotldr bot. Stories are hand-picked and then compressed into the pertinent parts, along with some relevant commentary from Twitter. Sip presents these in digestible bite-sized chunks, which you can casually scroll through.

Best app for news/journalism in my opinion. The interface is a lot cleaner and quicker if you just want curated news, and Google can pull from every media source known to man when you're looking for the latest news on a specific topic. So it covers every use case/scenario.

Google detailed an overhaul of the Google News app at its I/O developer conference last week, and on Wednesday that redesign officially became available to download on iOS devices. It replaces the previous Google Play Newsstand app. The new app arrived on Android devices shortly after Google's initial announcement.
The Verge
Google said last week at its I/O developer conference that the revamped, artificial intelligence-powered Google News would be arriving on Apple's App Store some time in the next seven days. That time is apparently now, as the new Google News has gone live on iOS this afternoon and replaced the old Google Play Newsstand app.
