In the mid-'90s, Lonely Planet was one of the first travel brands to hit the web. Its site, which offers suggestions on what to do, where to eat, and how to travel, embraced the digital age head on, earning itself a place in the hearts of travelers everywhere.
Trips walks users through building their own travel guide by combining photos with text and maps in a simple but flexible format. When you open the app, there's a big plus button at the bottom that starts the creation process. From there, you can select photos to add to the guide.
Lonely Planet has a new app for travel enthusiasts. Called Trips, the app uses an Instagram-like design populated with beautiful images of far away places. Much like Lonely Planet's website, the idea behind Trips is to offer travelers an easy way to share their experiences and discover new areas of the world - this time on their smartphones.

Lonely Planet is an amazing company for travellers and this app is no exception. I wish they had more places on there but what they do have is pretty awesome. I expect nothing less from LP

That's an itinerary planner for detailed daily plans from transportation to various activities. You select desired categories like "beaches", "museums", "romantic", "outdoors" and it suggests the whole plan which you can refine. I came across this platform recently and haven't used it "in the wild" yet, but I certainly will try it for my next trip.
