Olivia Lin- Growth and Operations Lead, Socratic
Students take a photo of a homework question and can get help in all subjects. Useful for college freshmen if they need a refresher on math/science topics that carry over from high school. P.S. I work at Socratic and wish I had this when I was in high school, so I may be biased :P

A little confession from me. I was homeschooled (that's not the confession part), and in 8th grade my algebra textbook had the answers to half the problems in the back. And when I was stumped, I would cheat. Sorry, mom!
Digital Trends
The days when students have to flip through textbooks to find solutions to homework problems may soon be coming to an end. Rather, they will be taking pictures with their smartphones to feed problems into an artificially intelligent app if Socratic has its way.
Android Police - Android News, Apps, Games, Phones, Tablets
Socratic was launched for Android on May 2nd, but it has been on iOS under the name Homework Genius since last year. It has a pretty interesting premise: you take pictures of your homework, and it tells you about the topic and provides answers. How well does it actually work, though?
