Cloud sync, tagging, due dates, projects, focus areas, notes, recurring tasks. I've been using Things for years and love it. Might have slightly fewer features than you need, but I think most of these other ones have too many features you don't need (like team collaboration). If you need something slightly more robust than Things, I'd try OmniFocus (which I … See more

Clean, beatiful interface. Although missing couple of important functionality (for my use), Still a good app. Currently evaluating Things 3 vs 2DO and Omnifocus. So far if I could combine the simple interface, global search functionality of Things with the Priority selection and ability to save custom searches of 2DO, we will have a great app...

For those who like to stay organized, there are plenty of free apps out there that will get the job done. But while those apps - including Apple's own native apps, like Calendar, Notes, and Reminders - are adequate, shelling out for a third-party app is often worth it.
The Verge
Few apps have made a more valiant effort to rescue us from indolence than Things, the to-do list app for Mac and iOS from German software developer Cultured Code. When it debuted as one of the original iPhone apps in 2008, Things was notable for its strong compatibility with Getting Things Done , the popular productivity system.

Wunderlist was my go-to to-do app for a long time. But it really depends on what you're going to use it for. If it's for a small company, this is a great app. Just for yourself: I would recommend the standard Reminders application by Apple (if you're on iOS/macOS etc by all means).

Almost a full year ago, I came up with the idea for an app which would help me get the better of my mild add using a very simple method: putting notes into my Mac OS Menubar, where I can glance at them without switching tabs.

I typically start every work day by creating a list of the things I need to accomplish that day. Once something I did in the Notes app, I eventually moved to just using a page in a notebook.
