The ephemeral to-do list for iOS

get it

Check is an ephemeral to-do list for iOS. It provides:

- tasks are removed after a certain duration

- you can define the duration for tasks in hours (default is 24 hours).

- The "task graveyard": Tasks which are not finished within the duration are killed and can be found in the graveyard. You can easily revive them and try them again later.

I've also gone through a ton of To Do list apps, but I've been loving Things 3 over the last 6 months or so. It has support for both one-off, and recurring todos, with a bunch of other organization features.

I switched from Clear to Things this year. It's an extremely well designed app that oozes beauty, but also treads a very careful line between simplicity and advanced functionality. So far, it does everything I need, and just enough more that I will not hit any restraints for the foreseeable future. The calendar integration is hugely helpful for being the one… See more

Offline first, native first, seamless sync, efficient UX. I've been using it for many, many years. If I'm not mistaken Things is the first app to introduce the dynamic 'today' list, which many have copied. v3.0 adds native reminders support as well. Calendar is integrated with separation (as calendar events are _not_ TODO items). It's stitched natively to ev… See more

For those who like to stay organized, there are plenty of free apps out there that will get the job done. But while those apps - including Apple's own native apps, like Calendar, Notes, and Reminders - are adequate, shelling out for a third-party app is often worth it.

Few apps have made a more valiant effort to rescue us from indolence than Things, the to-do list app for Mac and iOS from German software developer Cultured Code. When it debuted as one of the original iPhone apps in 2008, Things was notable for its strong compatibility with Getting Things Done , the popular productivity system.

I switched back to Todoist a few weeks ago after trying six dozen task management tools in the last year or so. Minimal, but not lightweight.

The best to-do list app will always be whatever works for you. One reason for the enduring popularity of pen-and-paper-based methods is that they can map perfectly to your individual needs. Now that Microsoft has officially announced they're shutting down Wunderlist, what should I use instead? I'm not looking for a full project management tool, just simple collaborative task lists.
