I also recommend Breaker, mainly due to the discovery features. With it offering recommendations on a per-episode basis, which I find a lot more beneficial than an entire new show.

I've been using this for the past few weeks. I really like it so far. Works well = UI is really nice. Social/friends aspect is nice as well. Makes finding new podcasts easier.

I was on the regular podcast apple app until breaker... never going back. The barrier of the switch is easy and the product is like 1000000 times better

Podcast listeners are traditionally creatures of habit when it comes to the app of choice to access all their favorite shows. Thus, whenever a new gateway to podcasts comes along, it often cops the 'not as good as Overcast' treatment and is passed into oblivion.

Anchor does a nice job with allowing you to create podcasts directly from your phone with some great engagement features. They also allow you to convert your existing podcasts from SoundCloud, RSS, etc., to make the switch easier (see https://anchor.fm/switch). You can even publish Anchor podcasts outside the app to Apple and Google.

Agree with Kunal! Anchor's mobile tools are great. The only downside is that (as of yet) you can only add clips from an external file from the desktop version, and all podcasts are cut into smaller Snapchat story-like chunks. I'd recommend it more for shorter podcasts than longform conversation podcasts.

More people than ever before are listening to podcasts, but as they soon find out, discovering new ones is a cumbersome process that lacks the serendipity users take for granted in other apps. CastBox wants to fix that by becoming "the YouTube of audio."
