@rrhoover on the lookout for anything in particular?
@bentossell I'm open to a wide variety of ideas but here are a few spaces I'm particularly excited about: https://medium.com/@rrhoover/req... Recommendations welcome! πŸ™πŸΌ
If you have the time one day @rrhoover, I am sure a ton of us could benefit from hearing a bit more about how you would recommend someone to approach you or other investors. Mainly for the ones with not a lot of connections. Anything our first email/approach should be really focused towards?
@rrhoover You're on πŸ”₯!
@rrhoover Hi, I came from the future! In the future, no one clicks on blue links like you do today... In 2020 we have green links which act differently: Links are personal. GAP DEALS will take you to a different landing page than if i would click the same link. Want to TASTE 9 smart link from 2020 today? Link-Big.com/portfolio
@rrhoover my project, https://colony.io/, is within your 4th category, distributed & remote work. I just sent you an email.
@rrhoover This is awesome! Btw, how many of the 17 startups that you already invested in were founded by women? No pun intended, just curious! πŸ€—

@rrhoover What stage of startups do you usually invest in?
Upvote (1)Share
@madhavanmalolan all early stage although I may make exceptions. E.g. I invested in Intercom's last round.

@rrhoover This is awesome! Wish few other investors post just like this and communicate with ppl. Are u planning to invest "competitor" or "open source version" of your invested companies?
Upvote (1)Share
@mendorshikh I wouldn't invest in a direct competitor. That's a major no-no in the world of investing, although the definition of competitor can be subjective and companies often pivot into each other.

@rrhoover how are 17 earlier doing? just an interest πŸ€”

@roman_eaton in short, it's too early as many of them just started. A few have gone onto raise addition rounds of funding but the next few years will be a lot more telling.

@rrhoover got you, good luck!
@rrhoover How long have you been doing the Weekend Fund for? Also, what is your investment thesis?

@jamesstewart I've been investing for about a year. I'm focused on early stage across a variety of spaces, although here are four that I'm particularly excited about.
