Understand how to use Ship πŸ‘‹ effectively

@orliesaurus Product Hunt has a great article on their blog about this: https://blog.producthunt.com/how.... Let me know if you want any additional help πŸ™Œ
@jamesstewart Yeah that's cool, I thought that Ship would somehow help me find people interested in the product I am launching "automagically" using data they have here on PH - but it seems that's not the case. It's confusing because I get sometimes emails/notifications about people pushing a product my way i.e. This person X you follow has subscribed to a Ship product, but it's not the case with mine. Think I am missing something :D

@orliesaurus Your product will be on https://producthunt.com/upcoming and it may be featured on the homepage in the "Upcoming" section that sometimes appears. In addition, you can use the widget tool to embed your Ship product onto your website which can help you acquire users. Of course you are free to share your product in the Makers Chat as well which can help raise awareness for your product.

@jamesstewart I looked on upcoming for my product (did an exact search too) and nothing shows up - any clue why? I did the embed hing, that's going to help sorta :)

@orliesaurus Only the popular upcoming products will be listed on that page. The best way to gain a presence on that page and the front page is by getting more subscribers to your product through other means (Twitter, Facebook, Website etc).

@jamesstewart Gotcha, see that wasn't that obvious to me - I thought ship was helping me "ship" the product, instead it's more like "ship that I need to fill with people myself before it sails away". Thanks for the clarifications!
