@mrcalexandre I'd suggest writing docs for some open source projects on GitHub, since they are all in markdown. It'd be help your GH profile + OSS experience + you'd actually learn Markdown :)
@fanahova Oh that's a really useful way to learn Markdown and be useful, I didn't think about that. Thank you very much πŸ™Œ Because I am learning JS right now, it would kill two birds with one stone to write docs for open source JS projects πŸ™‚
@mrcalexandre Perfect! I'd suggest Chart.js since it has a strong foundation already but it definitely needs some additional love. I'll let you know if I think of any other one. Feel free to reach out to me if you need help with stuff!
@fanahova Oh great idea, I am going to check out Chart.js, I think I discovered it on PH a while ago but never tried before :) Thanks for your help!
@mrcalexandre πŸ’•markdown, you use gh as a collaborative document for literally anything
@impishpimp Yes It looks like I can use it for almost anything. I am now trying to always use Markdown when I write small documents. And will use it for Github obviously to write README and documentations.
@mrcalexandre I fell in love with the simplicity and logic of Markdown while working on a Ghost blog! <3 What is your use-case? And good luck! :)
@thedreamydryad Yes I also like the simplicity and logic of Markdown. I really like the fact that I don't need to use my mouse to write a document. Oh I didn't know Ghost was using Markdown, I should check out Ghost someday, I am impressed by what they built in 5 years. My use-case will be Github and projects documentations(I need to find open-source projects like Chart.js as Alessio suggested me) and also now for all my notes, brainstorms and ideas/thoughts I have. I am syncing everything on Dropbox and use Typora on my Mac.
@mrcalexandre Ooh! Good luck. And do try blogging on Ghost. It's visual poetry :)
@thedreamydryad Thanks :) Thank you I am going to check their docs to see how I could install it πŸ‘
@mrcalexandre And Typora is gorgeous! Thanks for the reco :)
@thedreamydryad You are welcome :) I am sharing this tool I discovered thanks to Femke van Schoonhoven, Product Designer @ Uber, who shared the tools she uses https://twitter.com/femkesvs/status/997873527364771840
