@mrcalexandre I'm learning how to code (in Swift) myself. Can you tell us about your first impressions? Good luck!
@angeliquesocial I am starting this week, currently finishing my personal website. I will update you on my first impressions when I start πŸ˜‰ Good luck on learning Swift πŸ’ͺI heard that Swift has some great advantages compared to Objective-C. What do you think Swift ?
@angeliquesocial After finishing 50% of my Javascript course, here are my first impressions. I really like the language, it's intuitive. There are a lot of similarities with other languages because it's just algorithms in a different language. I have studied several languages before, it helped me a lot because I already have the basics. I am happy that I chose to study JS πŸ‘ I am excited to work on a bigger project in JS after this course πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» What are your first impressions on Swift?
@mrcalexandre Hi, good to hear that you are happy with picking up JS. This is my first coding experience and even though there might be some errors on my side while building app during the course sometimes, I really enjoy the Swift language and experience. Making mistakes is part of the learning process and helps me become a better coder.
@angeliquesocial Awesome! Building something with some errors is better that not building anything at all πŸ’ͺ With every project, you will realize that the most common errors you make will disappear as you progress :) Good to hear you like the Swift experience πŸ™Œ
@mrcalexandre I've recently started learning JavaScript as well! What's your approach? YouTube, books, online program, etc.? I'm working through freeCodeCamp's Front End Development certification.
@jakecrump Oh that's awesome! Here is my approach for now but I am open to any suggestions 😊 For the basis, I am going to use OpenClassrooms. Their goal is to make education accessible with community-based learning and online courses . I used it in my early teens to learn HTML5 and CSS3 and love the way they explain topics so I am going to start again with them. Then I will probably use Youtube to focus on things I want to learn more and will try to build little projects, why not a side-project πŸ˜‰ Oh I really like what freeCodeCamp is doing with Medium but never tried their courses. How is it?
@mrcalexandre Same here!! πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
@mrcalexandre I'm learning too with the Grasshopper app https://www.producthunt.com/post...
@abadesi The app looks very cool! I am going to try it, thanks for sharing πŸ™Œ
