@lubo Are u applying to multiple accelerators or choose just this one? If yes - why?

@alexwawl, well, we, of course, have our "most wanted" top 10 accelerator programs that we'd love to join. BoostVC turns out to be such kind of early-stage investor that funds and supports future-tech startups. That's what attracted us to connect with them, do some initial research whether we'll be a proper fit, and, as a result, apply. Another reason to apply to their program is because they help make "SciFi a reality" (or at least that's what they claim) and we decided to give them a shot. A third reason being, is that they're located in US. That's very important to us when it comes to: 1) access to initial market; 2) access to investors; 3) state of mindset; 4) knowledge and abilities about starups (there are quite a lot of accelerator programs that literally have no idea [!!!] what are they doing) and how to further develop them; 5) we're sick of European hypocrites and would like to get away to a place where we can prove ourselves.

@lubo Love 5 item👍. Good luck with it.By the way, did you try YC?

@alexwawl, yeah, #5 is my favorite too, unfortunately. Well, YC was never our top priority. I've been familiar with them and back in a day (around 4 years ago) I watched some of their lectures online. I was definitely NOT impressed by the quality but it turned out that they have a huge network which not many accelerators have access to. 2 months ago, we were accepted to the SUS program in the Advisory Track. Our group moderator motivated us to apply and see what would happen, although our goal was to qualify only for winning the grant. So, we ended up applying in the end. We didn't get to the interview phase but we're quite ok with this.

@lubo Yeap, unfortunately #5 is sucks. But I guess in UK situation is better. Did you know anything about UK accelerators? YC also has media power. If u was funded by YC - you can get a lot of articles in media around the world..

@alexwawl, yes, that's true too. But I think the media coverage benefit applies to some more accelerators not just YC. Well, YC by itself has an amazing branding ana reputation (I guess there's why) so, it's not a surprise why this is. Yes, I know a few UK accelerators but so far we had no luck there either. Can you recommend one besides TechStars? We're talking with SeedCamp at the moment and they're quite a reputable VC funds actually.
