Build a new product in a week

Which is a challenge in itself since I will only be available half of next week. I am building a web app where you can quickly find great restaurants and bars in cities your are visiting or living in
A way to hack this would be to do Top N e.g. you recommend only 5 bars and 5 restaurants in the beginning @jebarjonet. A clean mobile UI would go a long way in making this popular. You can use TripAdvisor or Yelp data to hack this in the beginning. They both are very cluttered.
@nirantk you are right I am going to automate this so I don't have to manually select places. TripAdvisor, Yelp and Foursquare are listing everything, good and bad restaurants alike and give them a rating (good or bad). I want to hear only about the great spots. Too much time spent on browsing hundreds of not-that-nice restaurants on those apps... 😂
@jebarjonet Sounds good :) But why not a mobile app instead of a web app ?
@jebarjonet If I were you, I'd build the non-essential features like rating later, after launch. As a user, I am interested in rating a place later - finding the place comes first!
@sahinkevin I don't have any experience in mobile app development 🙈it could be interesting, but right now I don't have enough time to learn such a thing... I have a full time job and already have troubles to find time to make small web apps 🙂
@jebarjonet @bentossell done a 10 startups in 24 hours challenge where he developed startups without using code. He documented the whole process on Medium which you may find useful, considering your limited time.
@jebarjonet Have a look at Dojo and Le Fooding for high quality curated restaurant recommendations with a simple, clean interface.
For those passing by, here is the final app: https://skipout.io It is super simple, you basically look for a city and you will get great spots there to eat and drink local food!
