I've seen a few products like this before (e.g. PushBullet, Clips, Scribe, Command-C) but Pasteasy cuts out all the steps by automatically forwarding copied text or photos between devices. I didn't know this was technically possible on iOS.
@rrhoover The advantage of Pasteasy is that it works via "copy here, paste there" paradigm -- you can paste the copied content to any app or folder on the receiving device without interacting with Pasteasy. Also it works in real-time since it uses local WiFi for speed, so it gives a pleasant user experience.

This would be fantastic if it was native to iOS and would be a great fit to Apple's continuity.
It's a bit of a hack how this is implemented on iOS - running in background (and checking if paste buffer has changed - I'm guessing). Wonder what the impact on battery life is? If it's negligible, nicely done!
@adamcudworth Pasteasy uses Bluetooth LE and WiFi so the impact on battery life is minimal. Try connecting your iPhone and iPad via Pasteasy and leave them connected overnight -- there is hardly any impact.

Just downloaded/purchased it. Pretty seamless so far.
Scan the bar code provided by the desktop app using your phone's camera and then the devices can copy/paste between each other.
@daveparkhere Here are some tips -- you can copy text, photo(s), screenshots, camera shots and URLs. Photos copied from the computer will go straight to the phone album, and can also be pasted in any app. Screenshots (fullscreen or partial) travel both ways, from mobile to desktop and vice-versa. You can live preview phone camera shots on your computer. URLs copied on the phone automatically open in the computer's browser tab. More coming soon!
@cpuricelli@daveparkhere Yes, simply turn off "Save incoming photo" from Pasteasy Settings (on left tab) and they'll not be saved to your photo album automatically.
I was in touch with the co-founders of this solutions who asked me to try it. i always was fascinated by this problem.
5 years ago i launched what was probably the very first solution to do something like that, before airplay pushbullet and all (was called Pastefire). Would have probably ended up with something like that if we continued it.
The video demo looks great and efficient. I have a problem with the pricing at 4.99$ which seems a bit too high for me, considering free alternatives (with 1 more step or more). But you never know.
@ourielohayon Welcome your feedback and we are listening. There are free alternatives but none that give the fast, simple, convenient and smooth user experience that Pasteasy gives. The data is transferred locally from device to device in real-time, skipping the cloud and keeping it private. And the app works magically in the backgroud, requiring no extra clicks. You simply copy on the phone and paste on the computer. Boom! Try it and you'll never go back to the old ways.
@bryceoflife Thank you. As I said in the reply above, there are no alternatives that give the smooth user experience Pasteasy gives. You simply copy on the mobile and paste on the computer, and it just works.
