@rrhoover Hey! we are seeing people use it in quite a few different ways so far:
1. people working on open source projects
2. people working on their side projects
3. people/agencies who want to promote their engineers and demonstrate their skills.
We are really excited to see how this evolves with our community!
The difference between us and Watch People Code is that you can stream on our platform - Watch People Code pulls streams from other places on the web.
If anyone else has any questions please just ask :)

Hey guys! A thought just came to mind. How do you ensure that those who are live coding aren't showing code that may be under NDA? Seems like you could have a pretty big lawsuit on your hands if someone was live coding the next product or service that overtakes Facebook...
Also, I am seriously contemplating starting a livedesigning.tv site like livecoding.tv. As a product and design guy, I would love to see how other people work around design challenges #ifyouusemyideaiwon'tbemadatreceivingsomemonetarycompensation :)

I can definitely see the becoming a really cool way to teach coding skills to those who want to learn potentially. Really cool to see where it goes!

@immatthamlin Only way to learn is by doing. No amount of watching people code will make you a good programmer.
I really like the concept, but the tech is really poor. I've been live coding a bunch and I like the community and helping other people out. But the streaming tech cuts out every 5 minutes making it impossible for people to watch streams. I think this is a big problem with having non technical cofounders who farm work out to Pakistan. I'd love to see some major improvements on this concept and maybe a team that is receptive to feedback.

I've spent the good part of 2 weeks now trying to opt out of the 20-emails-a-day I get from this service.
I tried everything, from unchecking the email notifications to talking to the customer service 10 times and asking to delete my account.
The answer was: "It won't make the emails stop"!
This is crazy spam. Crazy!
@kobaiko I am so sorry you are having this problem. The notifications are off by default, so you must have set these yourself. There are several ways you can change your notifications. Perhaps the simplest is just to click on these two big buttons on the browse page: http://prntscr.com/7zivmr
We will definitely try to improve this as we go along.
Please email me jamie@livecoding.tv if you need any more help.

Awesome idea and yes, would love to see a paid, teaching component implemented into the business model. There is definitely demand.
